Awkward Watersport Guys began the way a lot of good things do: two people who knew their industry, had something honest to say, and were willing to say it out loud.

Kevin O’Neil and Greg Fisher built a podcast around the real business of watersports. The problems operators face. The lessons nobody puts in the brochure. The occasional absurdity of making a living on the water. People listened because they were not reporting from the sidelines. They had built the businesses, made the mistakes, and knew exactly what they were talking about.

Over time, the brand grew into a much larger platform.

The show led to an active operator community, peer coaching, books, industry resources, and The Port, an annual forum bringing watersport and boat tour operators together in person.

The original name simply became too small for everything growing behind it.

So when these guys were ready to take the next step, #TeamVonMack jumped in to evolve their brand into Kevin & Greg Live

From Awkward to Live

The smartest part of the new name is also the simplest: it puts Kevin and Greg right at the center.

Their audience already knew them. Their credibility came from their personalities, experience, and willingness to talk honestly about the industry. “Kevin & Greg Live” turns that existing recognition into a brand that can stretch beyond a single podcast without losing the people who made it worth following in the first place.

And the new identity had to make the same move.

#TeamVonMack built a bold tourism brand around the qualities that were already working, like their well-known directness, energy, humor, and real operator authority.

With regard to colors chosen, black gives the brand weight and electric blue and yellow keep it moving. Heavy typography makes the name impossible to miss, while illustrated portraits of Kevin and Greg keep the founders visibly attached to everything they create. The “LIVE” speech bubble brings conversation directly into the mark and gives the identity a natural way to work across podcasts, video, events, and social content.

The result is more polished… but certainly not more polite.

Just as importantly, the rebrand does not pretend that the Awkward Watersport Guys never happened. The original podcast identity remains part of the new system, giving longtime listeners something familiar while the larger Kevin & Greg Live brand introduces everything that has grown around it.

Bringing the Components Together

The Kevin & Greg Live website is where their evolution becomes fully visible.

The site needed to do more than promote a podcast. It had to bring the show, The Port, peer coaching, the operator community, books, resources, and Kevin and Greg’s own stories into one connected experience.

Rather than presenting those pieces as a collection of side projects, our website design gives them a shared home and a clear relationship to one another. Visitors can immediately understand who Kevin and Greg are, what they have built, and where they fit into it.

For an existing listener, the podcast is still easy to recognize and find. For an operator meeting them for the first time, the site makes the larger proposition clear that this is a growing business and industry platform built by people who are actively doing the work.

That balance is the entire rebrand that keeps the equity, but loses limitations.

creating Room to Keep Growing

A brand like this moves quickly, so the work could not end with a logo and website.

#TeamVonMack created a working set of visual assets Kevin and Greg can use across social content, podcast and video graphics, presentations, founder-led content, event promotion, and future launches. The system includes logo variations, individual founder icons, vertical layouts, and repeatable thumbnail designs that make each new piece recognizable without making every piece look the same.

This gives Kevin and Greg room to grow up and out from the Awkward Watersport Guys without leaving behind the wit, familiarity, or industry credibility that built their audience.

The clearest expression of where that growth is heading may be The Port. (Yes, Von Mack also supports the event’s marketing, helping bring watersport and boat tour operators together for candid conversations about leadership, technology, operations, marketing, and building stronger businesses.)

A Brand They Can Actually Use

The work could not stop with a new logo and a brand guide.

Kevin and Greg needed visual pieces that could keep up with an active podcast, two highly visible founders, social content, video, events, coaching, and whatever they decide to announce next Tuesday.

Alongside the core identity, #TeamVonMack created logo variations, individual founder icons, vertical social graphics, video and podcast thumbnail templates, and flexible layouts designed around real photographs and direct headline space.

Together, these assets give Kevin and Greg a consistent way to promote new episodes, ideas, events, resources, and offers without starting from a blank screen or introducing the brand to a new personality every week.

It is a practical [tourism branding system](https://vonmackagency.com/ourservices/marketing_design/) with enough structure to stay recognizable and enough flexibility to let Kevin and Greg keep being Kevin and Greg.

They can grow up and out without having to redesign themselves every time they grow.

Get Yourself to The Port

Kevin and Greg are not only talking about the industry. They are actively putting it in the same room.

Von Mack also helps market The Port, their annual forum for watersport and boat tour operators who want to build sharper, stronger businesses.

The event brings operators together for practical conversations about growth, leadership, marketing, technology, operations, and the realities of running a business on the water. It is built around people doing the work, sharing what they have learned, and helping the rest of the industry stop figuring everything out the hard way.

Seriously. Get in the room.

Awkward Watersport Guys built the audience. Kevin & Greg Live gives that audience, and the business behind it, a much bigger home.

The rebrand did not make Kevin and Greg more serious. It made the business look as serious as the work already was.

Von Mack creates tourism brands, websites, and visual systems built for businesses with bigger things in mind.
